Hyperspectral Sensing 2
Hyperspectral Sensing 2
[As seen in Louis Vuitton’s Shanghai Grand Gateway location.]
For a long time I’ve been interested in the intersection of ephemeral inner states and scientific imaging. Like…what if we had a picture of an intuition? A heat map of the feeling of contentment? An MRI of the of falling in love? Etc.
The images in this series explore the gap between what we can see/measure/map/know to be real and the (traditionally “feminine” and often dismissed/belittled) experiences of intuition, knowing, and feeling.
These pieces will borrow the visual language of electromagnetic and hyperspectral (can’t be seen with human eyes) imaging to remind us that many things are very real that we cannot see or explain. A reminder that feelings, intuitions, visions and vibes are strange and beautiful facts.
